Basis for the Content Requirements: Life is a beautiful expression of conscious energy in which we unknowingly have created the illusion of separateness within the human family and from the natural environment which supports us. We are infinite source energy engaged in the eternal dance of creation. Science and spirituality are converging on an understanding of the nature of being. While many of us live our lives happily and unconsciously within a finite material worldview, there are those who pursue the infinite realm of the Spirit. Our purpose is to bring the knowledge, understanding and experience of wisdom traditions together with the knowledge, understanding and experience of science to conclusively show that we humans, other inanimate beings, and the inanimate nature are all inter-beings, connected on many levels by the source energy which pervades us through and through. We are indeed one! To that end, the following specifics generally characterize the all-encompassing spiritual education envisaged by the Cloverleaf:
- The material realm is within sense perception and the spiritual beyond it
- Beyond sense perception, the spirit is beyond words, forms and understanding
- The material realm is inherently exclusive, dualistic and finite
- The spiritual realm is inclusive and unifying by nature
- Increasing spirituality increases inclusiveness and universality
- Increasing materialism increases exclusiveness and individuality
- The higher the grossness, concreteness, solidity or perceptibility, the higher the separateness
- The higher the subtlety, elusiveness and mystery, the higher the unification and inclusiveness
- The entire gross and subtle universe exists, without exception, within the spirit and nothing can exist outside of it
- All-inclusive and universal spirit is infinitely subtle, imperceptible, elusive and a total mystery
- We use the words ‘God, Divine, One, Source, Source Energy’, etc. to refer to it
- The goal of spiritual education is to teach, through experiential wisdom, that the spirit animates the entire cosmos, animate and the inanimate
- Natural sciences today, unknowingly, support the value and purpose of spiritual education, revealing with increasing frequency and staggering revelations, the powerful, formless energy underlying and permeating all existence
- Energy inheres consciousness and consciousness inheres energy
- The spirit is infinite energy and consciousness, unconditional love and dynamic change
- The spirit can be only be known through deep inner experience which in itself is inexpressible
- The spirit has no limitations and cannot be expressed in definite forms or words which in themselves are limiting
- Religions tend to use words or forms to characterize the spirit as God with a personality thereby imposing limits on the infinity of the spirit
- Particularity of religious form can only build communities of cultural infinity and not a universal family
- All forms imposed upon the formless spirit for intelligibility represent the same spiritual essence and are therefore equally worthy of our respect
- Modern science is not about energy which is merely mechanistic without consciousness otherwise how can there be any interactivity in the material world?
